Oakridge Centre – Balcony Structural Fabrication & Elevated Welding

Chinook Welding Ltd. partnered with TAKT Construction Services to support structural fabrication, repair, and reconstruction work at the Oakridge Centre redevelopment in Vancouver, BC—one of the largest mixed-use construction projects in the Lower Mainland.

Our team was engaged across multiple residential towers to complete the fabrication and repair of balcony frame systems. This work involved detailed structural steel fabrication, on-site welding, and reinforcement, ensuring all components met project specifications for alignment, fit, and long-term structural integrity.

Working in active high-rise construction environments, we performed leading-edge welding at heights, executing heavy structural welding in elevated conditions while maintaining strict adherence to site safety protocols.

In addition to balcony systems, Chinook Welding completed the fabrication and repair of tower crane–lifted structural devices and outrigger systems, supporting critical lifting and installation operations on site. Our scope also included torch cutting, structural modifications, and demolition work, enabling efficient installation and integration of new structural components.

This project highlights our ability to deliver mobile welding, structural steel fabrication, and high-rise construction support across Vancouver and the Lower Mainland, particularly in complex, fast-paced urban developments.
